The Truth and Nothing But The Truth

In our relationships we must have balance eg having fun, laughing, playing, exercising and eating healthily. This really honours ourselves within the relationship. The truth is, we must love ourselves first before we can truly love, care or support our loved one. To have a good relationship and make love work, we must be good role models, lead by example and be who we truly are.

For me, part of being who I truly am in a relationship is about truth. Now there are two sides to this: being truthful and being true to myself. Being truthful is really knowing deep down what my truth is and being true to myself is knowing what and who I am, what my beliefs and values are and what I want to be, do and have in my life. For me, this means acting and speaking from my heart. Just try it, speak as if your heart is doing the thinking and speaking.

As we speak from our hearts, we connect with our higher unconscious and the universal unconscious. We also connect more lovingly with our loved one. For me, this seems to bring a sort of peaceful knowledge that I am right for me and there is no struggle or confusion about getting it right or wrong for my loved one; I just know the message or what I am doing is right for me in that moment. This could evolve and change.

It is really important in relationships to make I statements and this enables us to be who we truly are. By making I statements, we take responsibility for who we are, how we feel at any given time and no blame is attributed to our loved one.

Fear can keep us stuck and unable to move forward in our relationship. We may be scared to say how we truly feel, what we want to do and/or what we want to have. Notice this and stay focused on what you want to say, do or have. It is important not to focus on the fear. I have found it useful to practise saying what I want to say out loud and in front of a mirror. I have also found it useful to have an image of the person ie my loved one, and say what I want to say, step into them as if an actor stepping into a role on stagereally feeling, standing, speaking and acting as they doand get some feedback from the image person. If necessary, I adjust what I am saying and try again.

To practise saying or doing something that would be more true to me, I hold an image of myself on the cinema screen of my mind and see myself saying or doing what I want. Before practising saying or doing something, I might think of someone in a film or play that I have seen doing or saying something similar. Or, I might think of someone I know, like a friend, who has successfully said or done what I want to say or do. I then act as if I am them in my imagination. I move my body how they do. By doing this, it will give you a completely new way of being and acting with your loved one. You then have the choiceto stay with your current way of being and doing or to actively choose the new way.

Housing....How Bad

Some observations:

CBS. Marketwatch: American Home Mortgage Investment Corp. cut its first-quarter and full-year profit forecast by more than 25% Friday after being hit by problems in the secondary market for home loans and mortgage-backed securities.

The company also said that it's stopped offering some types of so-called Alt-A mortgages because of the high cost of delinquencies on those loans.The warning suggests that problems in the sub prime-mortgage business have begun spreading to other parts of the home-loan industry.

Note: The price of new century stock , a sub prime loan originator, this time last year the stock was as high as $53, today it is $1.26. Some of the sub prime market is experiencing a dot com type crash.....

Freddie Mac: Frank Hothaft writing for the office of the chief economist of Freddie Mac, "Despite the pullback by sub prime lenders, there are no signs of a general drying up of liquidity that could develop into a broader credit crunch in the prime mortgage market. Mortgage rates moved back down in recent weeks, with the rate on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages touching 6.18 percent in early March, equaling the lowest rate of the year". In other words the sub prime markets will feel the pain, but the overall credit markets are still ok.

Note: We see contrary reports indicating that at least some lenders are tightening up their lending requirements for prime loan customers. We think it natural for lenders with higher risk loan portfolios to tighten requirements or offer at higher rates to lower their risk profile. But today, it seems that there is no overall trend in that direction. Our take away: shop your loan and find lenders more able to remain flexible on rates and fees.

San Francisco Chronicle: Helpful news! " There is a mortgage source that is actually expanding itsbusiness nationwide for credit-impaired and first-time home purchasers. That source is the golden oldie of the mortgage arena -- the Federal Housing Administration, which recently has seen a doubling of customers refinancing out of private, sub prime loans into its insured mortgage programs. " What's Ahead...

Riskier markets. Uncertainty. These kind of post boom markets are tricky to navigate, but if you are a patient shopper this is when bargains arise. There is no evidence that this is like the stock market crash, however the analogy will keep more buyers away and this can create opportunity for the wise shopper. The Perks of Perfect Posture

Sit up straight! Stand up tall! Dont slouch! Youve probably heard these statements plenty of times throughout your life! My grandmother even used to poke me in the middle of my back to remind me to sit up tall at the table. As a child it seemed more of an annoyance than anything, I couldnt see any reason why it made a difference whether I slouched or not! Despite how often you may have heard, or even given these reminders, you rarely hear the explanation of why good posture is so important. Does it really even matter?

Posture simply refers to the alignment of your body. If you had perfect posture the forces of gravity would be distributed equally throughout your body and there wouldnt be too much stress on any one joint, ligament or muscle. Problems arise in the form of injuries, back or neck pain, poor breathing or circulation and inefficient bodily movements when you have poor posture.

Humor me and try this. Slouch your body forward, now try to take a deep breath in. You cant do it very easily can you? Now sit up tall, keep your shoulders back and your head lifted with your chin parallel to the floor. Breathe in again. Its easier to fill those lungs with oxygen when you have good posture isnt it? There are many other perks to perfect posture! For example you will experience less fatigue because your muscles are more efficient when used in proper alignment, you create less stress on joints and ligaments resulting in fewer injuries, less lower back and muscular pain, and improved appearance! Standing tall can even increase your confidence levels.

How can you tell if you have poor posture? Some of the most common telltale signs are an upper back or shoulders that are rounded and hunched (this condition is called kyphosis), a lower back that is excessively curved in (lordosis), your head may be jutting forward or when you stand your toes may be pointing out to the sides or in to the center. As you do a little self analysis you may find that you have more than one of these postural deviations! This is because as you develop one posture problem another part of your body compensates for the added stress. This creates a domino effect of postural deviations throughout your entire body!

Now that you are aware of your posture, lets talk about what you can start doing today to improve it! The first step is to get your body into proper alignment so you know what it feels like. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, toes pointing straight to the front. Your knees should be aligned with your ankles, keep a slight bend in the knee and avoid locking them. Your hips should be in line with your knees and your pelvis should be in a neutral position. If you were to imagine that your pelvis was a bowl of water, neutral would be the place where the water wasnt spilling out to the back or to the front. Keep your abdominal muscles tight and draw your shoulders back so that they are also in line with your hips. Your ears should be over your shoulders and chin parallel to the floor.

The first time you get your body into proper alignment it may feel strange. But in the long run your body will thank you for the stress relief you are providing! One of the best and easiest ways to start improving your posture is simply to be aware of it! If you catch yourself slouching, stand up tall! If you find yourself rounded over your computer or steering wheel sit up straight and pay attention to your body!

Stretching and strengthening exercises are important keys for improving your posture. For example, if your shoulders are rounded forward this typically means that your upper back muscles are weak and your chest muscles are tight. By stretching your chest and strengthening your back you can drastically improve your posture.

The answer to the question, does posture matter is an absolute yes! The perks of perfect posture are numerous. Whether you are standing, sitting or lying down it is important to practice proper posture in order to keep your body functioning at its best. A group of Chinese researchers find that radix linderae (wu yao) may be used in treating rheumatoid arthritis because radix linderae is found to be able to suppresses inflammation and protects joints from destruction. The study was done by scientists at the Department of Pharmacology of Chinese Materia Medica, China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing, China.

Radix linderae, the dry roots of Lindera aggregata (Sims) Kosterm., is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine. It contains alkaloids, volatile oils and sesquiterpene esters.

What are contained in radix linderae? A nets aporphinoid alkaloid, trivially named linderaline (1), along with eight known isoquinoline alkaloids as (-)-pallidine (2), protosinomenine (3), laudanosoline 3′,4′-dimethyl ether (4), boldine (5), norisoboldine (6), laurolitsine (7), pronuciferine (8) and reticulline (9) were isolated from ethanol extract of the dried root of Lindera aggregata (Sims) Kosterm. Their structures were established on the basis of the spectral analysis. Compounds 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 were found from the plant for the first time.

In the present study, researchers investigated the therapeutic potential and underlying mechanisms of the total alkaloids from Radix Linderae (TARL) on collagen II-induced arthritis in mice.

The results indicated that TARL (50, 100 and 200mg/kg), orally administered on the same day of an antigen challenge for 20 consecutive days, alleviated disease severity in a dose-dependent manner, while it did not significantly affect body weights.

Researchers also found that the TARL treatment reduced the serum level of anti-CII IgG (IgG is the most abundant form, or class, of antibody in the blood), and suppressed the delayed type hypersensitivity.

What is hypersensitivity? Hypersensitivity refers to undesirable (damaging, discomfort-producing and sometimes fatal) reactions produced by the normal immune system. Hypersensitivity reactions require a pre-sensitized (immune) state of the host.

What is delayed type hypersensitivity? This is the only class of hypersensitive reactions to be triggered by antigen-specific T cells, which are linked to inflammation. This type of hypersensitivity is often called delayed type as the reaction takes two to three days to develop. Unlike the other types, it is not antibody mediated but rather is a type of cell-mediated response. T cells belong to a group of white blood cells known as lymphocytes and play a central role in cell-mediated immunity. Antigen-specific T cells provides the immune system with memory against past infections.

TARL also protected joint destruction based on the evidence of reducing the histopathological scores (which are the total scores based on the sum of peribronchial, perivascular, interstitial, and alveolar inflammation).

The researchers thus conclude that TARL is a potential therapeutic agent for rheumatoid arthritis that suppresses inflammation and protects joints from destruction.
